Hand carved slingshot in the shape of the beautiful Quetzal Bird. Notice the delicate carved details of feathers and tale in this beautiful yet dangerous weapon. The Quetzal Bird is Guatemala’s National Symbol of freedom; the bird can‘t leave in captivity and is known for Maya people using their feathers as precious gifts. Slingshots are very common hunting weapons still used in the Guatemalan Highlands. Young boys like to catch small birds, lizards or even mice with their slingshots and they customize them with a special look. Patina all over the piece denotes use and age. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping!
