Ceremonial Jaguar Mask, maroon and yellow painted with black stripes all over. A prominent carved nose with red nose-holes and alert positioned ears highlight the ferocious feline. Lower and upper carved teeth frame a big red painted tongue that gives the jaguar a funny appearance, almost as if it was smiling. Beautiful green seeds-made eyes with tiny black painted eyelashes give the piece an outstanding expression. The backside patina and the small fissures on the paint denote wear.
