Ceremonial HuipilThree paneled ceremonial Huipil woven on a back strap loom using as main materials cotton and natural dyes. Used mainly for weddings or religious ceremonies. Red, green and yellow brocaded decorations are present all over the piece as Venus star, mountains, dots and water symbols. A finely hand embroidered and red randa joins the three panels. The neckline is formed by four pink semicircles which represent the four phases of the moon (this piece did have satin cloth sewn in but it was taken out). It also shows magenta, purple, golden and light green flowers; all of them hand embroidered. On the bottom of the blouse the signature of the weaver appears as a form of a hand embroider duck. This Huipil is brocaded with natural dyes. Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping!
