The town of Tactic is located in the valley of Alta Verapaz. Its name comes from the Pokomchi, which signifies “Land of Peach Trees”. This red traditionally ceremonial huipil from Tactic is woven in three panels, on a back strap loom. It has a red background with red brocade all over the piece.  The opening for the head is cut out in a square shape. The geometric designs are brocaded with cotton and symbolizing the planets, stars, the feather serpent and lighting. Many people believe that the zigzag shape design in the Tactic textiles are a representation on the Stairway in the Calvario. Please notice that the prices inlcudes FREE USPS SHIPPING
