Nebaj will characterized in its textiles, because they always show geometric and coloured designs. This, one of a kind huipil, is woven in two panels, on a back strap loom. The patterns are woven in the one face brocading technique with cotton and some details in silk. The round neck opening, represents the sun and is decorated with a light purple cotton cloth, showing four semi circles that represent each a half-moon. All of it has an embroidery on top with cotton ribbon. The geometric designs represent Maya cross, triangles, feather serpent, corn plant and mountains. It also shows anthropomorphic patterns with dolls (men and women) and zoomorphic designs: birds and mules.
