The Dance of “El Costeño” tells the story of highlanders that go to the Pacific Coast during the crop season to earn an extra income. Since the coast is warmer, their skin turns red. This character is called “Viejito”, old man. The trademark of these characters is the horse hair attached to the character’s face and the angry look, showing their teeth. Hair and moustache give the piece a genuine look. Notice the gracefully black painted eyelashes and eyebrows that highlight the black eyes. Golden teeth denote a higher social status; he is a wealthy old man. Patina on the back denotes use.  Please notice that the price includes FREE USPS Shipping!
