Lovely hand knitted bag or morral. This piece is woven with chemical dyed cotton threads by men while they are shepherding. This style of bag is characteristic from the area of the Guatemala Highlands and only men use it. Because of the materials is a very resistant piece. Both of the morral’s faces show colorful different geometrical patterns and the inscription “15 de Agosto de 2004, Chaquijya, Sololá”; a small neighborhood in Solola. The piece has a matching adjustable shoulder strap for the user’s comfort; the piece is a bit worn out as its fading colors show and has a light brown stain caused by use.
